GALAMARES 6
Modern and luxurious house in Galamares
Designed by the Brazilian architect Ivo Mairenes, this house was one of our first projects using CLT - Cross Laminated Timber, in partnership with the world's largest CLT company, the Austrian Binderholz.
We used a very special system, with cork on the exterior, an air gap with GLASROC® from Saint-Gobain, identical to that used in many CLT-produced skyscrapers (as in the final image of the bottom slider in London), with a final finish in Kerlite, from Margres.
Some interior walls were covered with high-density Fermacell plasterboard. The ceilings are brushed CLT. The floors are in SlabStone, from Margres.
Uponor underfloor heating, with a Carrier heat pump. The underfloor heating is almost not used, given the extraordinary energy efficiency of the house.
